Let's Go Shopping!
Assignment: Your assignment is to go Mother's Day shopping for your mother, grandmothers (2 of them) and great grandmothers (4 of them). This means you will be shopping for a minimum of 7 people (they don't have to be grandmothers and great-grandmothers -- they can be aunts, or whatever). You have a total budget of $500. You may not spend more than $500 and you must spend at least $450. You may buy each person more than one gift if you choose. Because you are a bargain shopper, you also want to find the best deals. For each item you buy, you must find three different web sites of that item. You will then create a spreadsheet to show your data and a report to identify your final choices.
Spreadsheet Instructions
• On your spreadsheet, change the lowest price to blue for every item.
• Format all column widths to 10.
• Wrap text in each cell (format, cells, alignment, wrap text) and align to top.
• Bold names and use a bigger font.
• Use a function to find the lowest priced item and create a separate column for that price.
• Use a function to find the total price that you will pay for all of your gifts.
• Use a formula to subtract that total amount from the $500 that you have budgeted. --don't worry, I will help
Report Instructions
• Create a report in Microsoft Word that lists the name of the person you are shopping for, a picture of every item that you are buying them and the price of that item. You may want to create a table for this.
• Write a paragraph of at least 100 words that explains why online shopping would be good or bad. You must have at least 3 reasons for each argument.
